Redoxis joins KKS-Synergi21 research project targeting inflammation

Redoxis is pleased to have joined the KKS-Synergi21 research project Drug discovery targeting inflammation – novel therapeutic aspects on vascular inflammation, thrombosis and breast cancer.

The project is led by Karin H Franzén and Magnus Grenegård at the Cardiovascular Research Centre at Örebro University and brings together academic researchers and industry partners to explore new therapeutic strategies targeting inflammation. The four year research project is supported by the Knowledge Foundation (KK-stiftelsen).

The research focuses on three interconnected areas: vascular inflammation, thrombosis and its links to inflammation, and inflammation in breast cancer. By evaluating novel drug candidates across different disease models, the project aims to identify therapeutic mechanisms, investigate potential new indications and increase our understanding of shared inflammatory disease processes.

Pontus Dunér, Director of Grants & Applications at Redoxis, recently represented us at the project’s Progression Meeting in Örebro. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress made within the different research areas, exchange scientific perspectives and discuss the next steps in the collaboration.

As a new partner, Redoxis will contribute its expertise in inflammation and translational preclinical research. The collaboration aligns closely with our ambition to support the development of novel therapies through scientifically relevant experimental strategies and tailored preclinical studies.

We look forward to contributing to the continued progress of the project and working alongside the other partners to advance new therapeutic approaches targeting inflammation.
